Ashley manages the firm’s Houston office. Ashley has over 26 years of experience handling a full range of commercial real estate transactions, commercial lending and commercial litigation. She regularly represents financial institutions in SBA lending, SBA creditor’s rights, permanent mortgage loan, construction loan, conduit loan transactions, regulatory compliance issues and corporate governance. Her financing experience also includes foreclosures, work outs, bankruptcy matters, creditor’s rights litigation and restructuring of existing loans.
EXPERIENCE AND HIGHLIGHTS
- Representation of a commercial real estate lender in connection with its origination of dozens of CMBS 2.0 loans.
- Representation of a life insurance company in connection with its origination of both construction and permanent mortgage loans.
- Representation of a lender in connection with the financing of an acquisition of multiple service stations located throughout the State of Texas.
- Representation of a lender in connection with the financing of an acquisition of a $100 million retail shopping center.
Prior to joining Stark, Ashley served as Chief of Staff for the US House of Representatives Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, Chief of Staff for Congressman Lamar Smith, in-house counsel for a private equity firm in Chicago, and routinely counsels our banking clients on regulatory and governmental matters.
Ashley graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Finance. Thereafter, she graduated from Southern Methodist University with her Juris Doctor and Loyola University School of Law with her LL.M. in Juvenile Law. Ashley is admitted to practice in Texas and Illinois, the United States District Court of the Northern, Western, Eastern and Southern District of Texas and United States District Court of the Northern, Southern and Central District of Illinois.
